OBITUARY: 
James D. Clark, 81, late resident of 1840 Court street, Thursday, April 6. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Caroll and son, John L. Clark, both of Salem; six grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Mary Marquis of Hot Springs, Mont. Services will be held from the Clough-Barrick chapel Saturday, April 8, at 1:30 p.m., with Dr. W. C. Kantner officiating and the ritualistic service directed by Salem lodge No. 50 AF & AM. Interment IOOF cemetery. Oregon Statesman 8 April 1939 5:2
