OBITUARY:
H. Whitman Cooper, age 66, died at a local hospital on Nov. 14. He had been a resident of Salem for the past 37 yeasr. He is survived by three sons, Batty Eliphelet Cooper of Salem, Jefferson Davis Cooper of Philomath, Hiram Byran Cooper of Salt Lake City; two stepsons, Albert Whorley of Newport and Adrian Whorley of Portland.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church this afternoon at 2:30 with interment in Odd Fellows cemetery. Terwilliger funeral home had charge of the arrangements.
