OSBH DC (Marion 1938) #77; George Henry Croisan, born at Buena Vista, Oregon on August 20, 1849, died Jan. 25, 1938 at his home RFD #3 Box 219. He was the son of Henry Croisan, born in Bavaria and Mary Ann Hall. He was a farmer, married to Verbena Croisan who was the informant. Undertaker Clough-Barrick Co., burial IOOF Salem Jan. 27, 1938.

OBITUARY: 

CROISAN -- George Henry Croisan died Tuesday at the age of 89 years at the residence on route three. He was a member of a pioneer Oregon family and was born August 20, 1849 at Buena Vista, Ore. He retired from farming a number of years ago. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Clough-Barrick chapel, with interment at IOOF cemetery. Rev. George H. Swift of St. Paul’s Episcopal church is to officiate. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Verbena Croisan; two sons, George W. and John H. Croisan, both of Salem; daughter, Mrs. Russell Rarey of Tillamook and Mrs. Charles R. McClelland of Salem; sisters, Mrs. Ray L. Farmer, Mrs. Carrie Bushnell and Mrs. Martha Wilson; brother, E. M. Croisan of Portland, and six grandchildren.

Farmer, Mrs. Carrie Bushnell and Mrs. Martha Wilson, all of Salem; brother, E. M. Croisan of Portland; six grandchildren. Services will be held from the Clough-Barrick chapel Thursday, January 27, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. George H. Swift officiating. Interment I.O.O.F. cemetery. Casket open to friends until 11 a.m. Thursday. Friends are requested not to send flowers.
