PERSONALS -- Mrs. John Dancy, of Portland, mother of W. H. Dancy, of this city, is reported as being seriously ill with pneumonia, but there are strong hopes of her recovery. -- Mrs. W. H. Dancy departed last night for Harrisburg to attend the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. M. J. Love, who died at her home in that city at 6 o'clock yesterday morning.

FUNERAL OF THE LATE MS. JOHN DANCY TOMORROW. 
From St. Paul's Episcopal Church - Deceased Was a Native of England and Resided in Salem for a Quarter of a Century. The remains of the late Mrs. John Dancy, who passed away at her Portland home at 1:20 a.m yesterday, were brought to Salem on last evening's Albany local, and taken to the home of her son, W. H. Dancy, at No. 347 Liberty street, where they will remain until the funeral. 
The funeral services will be held from St. Paul's Episcopal church, at 2 p.m. tomorrow, and interment will be had in the Odd Fellows' cemetery south of this city. The remains will lie in state at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dancy today and up till noon tomorrow, where the many friends of the family and of the deceased may view them. 
Mary A. Simmons Dancy was born in England April 16, 1841, and there she married John Dancy on May 20, 1865. On August 14, 1868, the family landed in the United States, having come here to seek a home, and in 1869 they came to Oregon and located in Salem, and with the exception of a few years spent at other points on the coast, have made this city their home for twenty-five years, until a year ago they moved to Portland. 
Deceased leaves to mourn her untimely demise, her husband, John Dancy; her son, W. H. Dancy, of this city; a daughter, Mrs. D. W. Eberlin, of Spokane, and four brothers - L. O. Simmons, of South Salem; E. J. Simmons, of Eugene; Wm. Simmons, of Shedds; and Alfred Simmons, of Butte, Montana. 
The first two named brothers and the husband, son and daughter are here; the other two brothers cannot come; the one at Shedds on account of serious illness, and the other owing to the great distance. 
Deceased was very popular among a wide circle of friends, who are deeply grieving over her passing away. She was a life-long and consistent member of the Episcopal church.
