DEATH CERTIFICATE:
OBITUARY:
Died in Oakland.
A telegram was received by relations in this city yesterday morning, announcing the death at Oakland, California, of Martin Darr, who went to that place from Silverton about a month since, in hopes of benefiting his rapidly failing health. Martin Darr was a son of A. Darr, of this city, and was for many years a resident of Salem. Several years since he married Jennie, daughter of R. C. Ramsby, then sheriff, and afterwards moved to Silverton. He has been in bad health for several years, his malady being consumption. His wife started for Oakland last Sunday, and was with him when he died.
The remains were started from Oakland last evening, and are expected to arrive on to-morrow morning’s train. The funeral procession will go directly from the train to the Odd Fellows' cemetery.
