1910 KS CENSUS -  Henry C. Dohse, age 49, 1st marriage, occupation farmer, b. Germany, is enumerated with his wife of 20 years, Gealey, age 53, 2nd marriage, mother of 4 children 3 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Ohio,along with son Claus, age 14, farm laborer, b. Kansas.
1930 OR CENSUS - Henry C. Dohse, age 69, occupation fruit farmer, b. Germany, year of immigration 1885,  is enumerated with wife Gealey, age 73, b. Kansas.

OBITUARY: 
AUBURN RESIDENT TAKES HIS OWN LIFE. 
Henry Dohse, 73, resident of the Auburn district, took his own life by hanging himself in the woodshed sometime Tuesday night. It was learned yesterday morning when Mrs. Dohse sought the missing man. Ill health is said to be the cause. He had suffered several paralytic strokes. The body is at the Clough-Barrick mortuary, No inquest will be held as the cause of death was obvious. 
Funeral arrangements have not been made. Mr. Dohse visited several neighbors Tuesday, and commented to them that he had been suffering severe pain. Besides the widow, three sons survive. Z. W. McFarland of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Lake McFarland of Graybull, Wyoming, and Claus Dohse of California; and two grandchildren who have lived with the Dohses. 
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.

Henry Dohse passed away at his residence, Salem, route 6, Wednesday, August 9, at the age of 73 years. Survived by widow, Mrs. Gealey Dohse and a son, C. B. Dohse of Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held from the Clough-Barrick company chapel, Monday, August 14, 2 p. m., Rev. D. R. Shierman officiating. Interment Macleay cemetery.
