1900 MT CENSUS - Louise L. Arthur, age 45, no children, b. New York, is enumerated with her husband of 13 years, Henry H., age 55, occupation accountant, b. Nov 1845 in Pennsylvania.  They are enumerated in the home of J. H. Sherburne, age 48, occupation Merchant, b. Dec 1851 in Maine.

BIOGRAPHICAL

She too, assisted her father as a part time typesetter in Salt Lake City, Utah. She later moved to Montana and lived in both Browning and Missoula. In 1886, she married Harry Arthur. He passed away December 15, 1900 in Browning, Montana.

OSBH DC (Marion County 1926) #633 - Louise Arthur, female, widow of Harry Arthur, resident of Salem 16 years, occupation stenographer, b. 19 Feb 1855 in New York, d. 20 Sep 1926 in Salem, Oregon, (406 N. High) at the age of 71 y's 8 m's 1 d, name of father Frederick Lockley (b. London, England), maiden name of mother Agnes Hill (b. Scotland), interment IOOF 23 Sep, undertaker W. T. Rigdon, informant Mrs. John Lewis of 545 E. 57th St., Portland, Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
Louise Arthur Passes -- Mrs. Louise Arthur, since 1907, a stenographer in the offices of the State Engineer here, died suddenly yesterday. She was 71 years of age and prior to locating in Oregon was a resident of Browning, Montana. The body will probably be taken there for burial. Mrs. Arthur is survived by a brother Fred Lockley, a newspaperman in Portland and a sister, Mrs. H. H. Sherburne of Montana. Mrs. John H. Lewis of Portland is a niece of Mrs. Arthur. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

In this city Monday, Sept 30, Mrs. Louise Arthur, age 71 years, step-daughter of Mrs. F. Lockley of Portland, and Mrs. A. J. Gibson of Missoula, Mont., and sister of Mrs. J. H. Sherburne of Browning, Mont. Funeral services Thursday, Sept. 23, at 2:30 o'clock from the First Presbyterian church under the direction of the Rigdon mortuary. Interment will be in the IOOF cemetery.
