DURBIN, Mrs. Isaac (Olive Kays) Mrs. Durbin Passes Away
Widow of Late Isaac Durbin Succumbs to Illness of More Than Year. 
Mrs. Olive Kays Durbin, long a Salem resident, died last night at 8:45 o'clock at the family residence, 312 North Water street, following an illness of over a year. She was 77 years old. Mrs. Durbin was the widow of Isaac Durbin, a brother of the late Soloman Durbin, who was a well known pioneer. Mrs. Durbin crossed the plains to Oregon with her parents in 1852. She was born in Bloomington, Ill., in 1840. She has lived in Salem and vicinity continuously since coming here. In 1857 she was married to Isaac Durbin, who died about four years ago. Mrs. Durbin was a member of the Independent evangelical church. She is survived by two daughters are Mrs. Lela Jerman and Mrs. L. Bechtel. The funeral will be held from the home Thursday at 2 o'clock with burial in the Odd Fellows cemetery. Rev. F. G. Bowersox of Portland will conduct the services.
