OBITUARY: 

Mrs. Ecker Succumbs After Illness
Mrs. Cora Ecker, 71, wife of Fred Ecker, died Thursday at their 1629 N. 4th St. home.  She had been ill several weeks.
Born March 3, 1884 in Oklahoma, Mrs. Ecker came to Oregon about 1910, settling in the Corvallis area.  She and her husband moved to Salem about a year later.  He had worked for the city dreet department.
Besides the widower she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Underwood, Santa Ana, Calif.; a son, Lee Ecker, Salem; a brother, Ally Holman, in Canada, and four brothers and sisters in Oklahoma.  They are Dewey Holman, George Holman, Mrs. Vina Green and Mrs. Daisy Phillips; two grandchildren.
Arrangements are in charge of the Virgil T. Golden funeral home.

Survived by husband, Fred Ecker, Salem; daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Underwood, Santa Ana, Calif.; son, Lee Ecker, Salem; sisters Mrs. Vina Green; Mrs. Daisy Phillips, both of Oklahoma; brothers Dewey Holman and George Holman, both of Oklahoma, Ally Holman, Canada; 2 grandchildren.  Services June 28 at 10 a.m. at the Virgil T. Golden Chapel.  Interment at the Pioneer Cemetery. Rev. Lowell W. Holte officiating.
