OBITUARY: 
At her home in the Red Hills at 11:40 a.m., Friday, April 15, 1892, Levisee L. Elgin, widow of Geo. W. Elgin, aged 78 years, 3 months and 15 days. Deceased was born in Kentucky Dec. 30, 1813, emigrated to Oregon in 1852 and settled eight miles south of Salem, where she had resided ever since. She became a member of the M.E. church in 1836, which has been her life’s hope. The funeral will be held Sunday morning, leaving her late residence at 9 oÂ’clock and reaching the I.O.O.F. Rural cemetery about 12 o’clock. Kansas City papers please copy.
