DIED--In Hog'em, Baker county, on the 5th inst., after a brief illness, William T. Atkinson, aged about 40 years.

 FUNERAL--The remains of Mr. Atkinson, who died last September at Eagle Creek, in Eastern Oregon, were brought to Salem by the train on yesterday afternoon and will be buried in the Odd Fellow's Cemetery today. Mr. Atkinson is a son-in-law of Mr. F. G. Schwatka of this city, and from his residence the funeral will take place at two o'clock this afternoon. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
