OBITUARY: 
At the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Squire Farrar, this city, Wednesday evening, January 15th, 1890 , Mrs. Lydia Atkinson, in the eighty-second year of her age.
Deceased was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, and came to the United States when about 18 years old. She resided in Salem up to the time of her death. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Johnson, living in St. Louis, Missouri; Mrs. Fortner, in Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Squire Farrar, at whose home she died. Her husband has been dead since 1856. Due notice of her funeral will be given.
