Fletcher), b. 30 Oct 1855 in Marion Co., Oregon, d. 28 Aug 1927 in Salem, Oregon (1188 North Fourth St.) at the age of 71 y's 9 m's 55 d's, name of father Lewis Savage (b. Michigan), maiden name of mother Minerva Connelyy (b. Ohio), interment 30 Aug, undertaker Webb & Clough, informant Ethel Fletcher of Salem.

OBITUARY: 

Mrs. Zella Fletcher died at her residence at 1188 North Fourth street on August 28. She is survived by her daughter, Ethel, one brother, Elliott Savage and one grandson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Webb Funeral Parlors with Rev. Martine Ferrey officiating. Interment in the I. O. O.F. cemetery.

OLD PIONEER DIES. 
Mrs. Zella S. Fletcher Grange Officer 25 Years. 
Another early pioneer passed away here when Mrs. Zella S. Fletcher died at her home, 1183 North Fourth street, at 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Mrs. Fletcher was born on a farm at Middlegrove and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Savage, who came across the plains from Vermont in 1854. 
Funeral services will be held in the Webb funeral parlors at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon, with Rev. Martin Ferrey and Rev. H. C. Kantner officiating. 
Death took place after an illness that had continued for nearly a year. Mrs. Fletcher was prominent in a number of local organizations. She was secretary of the Salem Grange for 25 years and was a member of the W. R. C. the Ladies of the G.A.R. and Rebekah Lodge. She was the widow of the late H. C. Fletcher, who for many years operated a feed store on North Commercial street. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart academy and a member of the local Unitarian church. 
She is survived by a daughter, Miss Ethel Fletcher, a brother, Elliott M. Savage and one grandson, Norman Fletcher, all of Salem. Chapman Scrapbook p. 246 (1927)
