BIOGRAPHICAL:
A SEDUCTION CASE
Happily Terminated by a Marriage Before the Justice
Blanche Foot, the 18-year-old daughter of Mrs. J. A. Johnson, a widow living at the corner of Marion and Union streets, swore out a warrant in Justice H. A. Johnson's court for Ben Dimelar, charging him with the crime of seduction committed on Decebmer 15, 1895, under promise of marriage. Dimelar, who is a young man, 22 years old, has worked in Salem for some time as a teamster andhas always borne a good reputation. He was arrested and his trial set for 10 o'clock today, his bonds being fixed at $200, which he was unable to furnish, spending the night in jail.
This morning, on motion of the deputy district attorney, Cas. Park, the prosedution was dismissed and the pari married at the residence of the bride's mother, by the justice before whoom the case was brought.
