OBITUARY: 

Lela Maude Jerman died in Newport, born in Salem, May 17, 1867. Survived by sister, Mrs Myrtle Bechtel of Salem; sons, Paul of Newport and Edward of Portland; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services in Newport Saturday, July 11, at 11 am. Graveside services in Odd Fellows cemetery, Salem, at 3:30 am. Hartley funeral home, Newport, in charge.
