Jan 1846 in Candada, year of immigration 1870, along with Ralph, age 26, occupation farmer, b. Nov 1873 in Minnesota, Alice [Ralph's wife of 5 years], age 22, mother of 2, b. Jun 1877 in Oregon, Carl, son [of J.R.], age 9, b. Jan 1891 in Minnesota, Carrie, daughter [of J. R.], age 9, b. Jan 1891 in Minnesota, Ida, identified as granddaughter [of J. R.], age 3, b. Dec 1896 in Oregon, and Jessie, identified as grandson [of J. R.], age 1, b. Jul 1898 in Oregon.

At the home on the Liberty road, early Tuesday, May 15, Mrs. Alma D. Gibson, age 77 years widow of the late James R. Gibson, mother of Ralph and Carl Gibson and Mrs. Carrie Trudgen, all of Salem, sister of Lowell Carlton of Idaho, Frank Carlton of Calif., and Mrs. Chloe Case of Los Angeles; also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services, Thursday, May 17 at 1:30 p. m., from Rigdon mortuary, Rev. Norman K. Tully officiating. Interment in I. O. O. F. cemetery.

Mrs. James R. Gibson Dies At Salem Heights Tuesday LIBERTY, May 15--(Special)--Early this morning "Grandma" Gibson, widow of James R. Gibson, passed away at her home in Salem Heights. A few weeks ago she was taken ill with influenza, and since that time her death has been expected.
Alma Carlton, on the seven children, was born at Black Earth, Wisconsin, April 3, 1851. She was married to James R. Gibson at Medford, Minnesota, and 37 years ago they came to Oregon. For years they made their home here at Liberty, and did much for the betterment of the community. Mr. Gibson died three years ago.
She leaves two sons and one daughter to mourn her passing; Ralph D. and Carl J., both of Liberty, and Mrs. Carrie E. Trudgen of Salem Heights; also four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The funeral will be from Rigdon's at 1:30 Thursday afternoon.
