OBITUARY: 
Guy Gilbert, late resident of Galice, Ore., at a local hospital May 9, at the age of 65 years. Survived by three brothers, Monroe Gilbert and Ralph Gilbert, both of Salem, and T. A. Gilbert of Blue River, Ore.; sister, Mrs. W. E. Savage of Salem. Services will be held from the chapel of the Clough-Barrick company Thursday, May 11, at 1:30 p.m. Interment in IOOF cemetery. Rev. Dean Poindexter.

Member Pioneer Family is Called. 
HAZEL GREEN - Guy Gilbert, who was buried in City View [sic] cemetery Thursday was a son of John Gilbert, a successful business man of Salem, during ’70 and ’80. His mother was Roxanna McCalipan of one of the earliest families of the Waldo Hills. The familyÂ’s early summer home was the present N. P. Williamson farm. In 1893 the family moved to the farm now owned by Ralph Gilbert. Mr. GilbertÂ’s home for some time has been near Grants Pass. He came to his brother, Ralph GilbertÂ’s recently. He leaves a brother, T. A. Ralph, Monroe, and sister, Mrs. Ernest Savage.
