OBITUARY: At the residence one mile west of Salem, in Polk county, Wednesday, January 10, 1899, Caswell Glenn. The deceased was attacked with la grippe a few days ago, which culminated in stomach trouble, causing death. He came to Oregon in 1872, from Missouri, settling in Polk county, where he has since resided. He was among Polk county’s most highly respected citizens, being noted for his sterling honesty and integrity. He leaves a wife and four children, one son, Robert Glenn, who resides on the home place, and three daughters, Mrs. M. McKee, of Amity; Mrs. Stevenson, of Sheridan, and Mrs. Fonnen, of Rickreall. Funeral services will be held at the house at 11 o’clock today by W.G. Kantner. Interment will be in Rural cemetery.
