Commercial St. Wife of Robert Griswold, Salem; mother of Mrs. Ruth Cubahay, Tacoma, Wash., Charles H. DuChien, Los Angelen, Calif., Mrs. Hazel Hubbard, St. Ignatius, Mont., Mrs. Betty McFadden, Salem, Orin Stone, Eugene, Lewis Stone, Iowa; sister of Morris Lawson, Castle Rock, Wash., Charles Olcott, Portland, Mrs. Daisy Sites, Portland; also surviving are 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. in the W. T. Rigdon Chapel with concluding services at the IOOF Cemetery, Salem.

Mrs. Griswold Succumbs to Long Illness--Mrs. Bessie DuChien Griswold, 76, of 730 N. Commercial St., died at her home Wednesday following an illness of two years. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the W. T. Rigdon Chapel with concluding services in the IOOF Cemetery, Salem. Mrs. Griswold was born in Anderson, Ind., April 4, 1876 and moved to Hay Creek, Ore., in 1906. She had been a resident of Salem for the past 35 years. 
Surviving are her widower, Robert Griswold, Salem; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cudahay, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Hazel Hubbard, St. Ignatius, Mont., Mrs. Betty McFadden, Salem; three sons, Charles DuChien, Los Angeles, Calif., Orin Stone, Eugene, and Lewis Stone, Iowa; two brothers, Morris Lawson, Castle Rock, Wash., and Charles Alcott, Portland, and one sister, Mrs. Daisy Sites, Portland; also 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ill for the past two years, Mrs. Bessie DuChien Griswold, late resident of 730 North commercial street, died at a local nursing home Wednesday. 
A resident of Salem for the past 35 years, Mrs. Griswold was born in Anderson, Inc., April 4, 1876, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Ellis Lawson. She moved to Hay Creek, Oregon in 1906. 
Survivors include her husband, Robert Griswold, Salem, three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cudahay of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Hazel Hubbard of St. Ignatius, Mont., and Mrs. Betty McFadden of Salem; three sons, Charles Du Chien of Los Angeles, Orin Stone of Eugene, and Lewis Stone of Iowa; two brothers, Morris Lawson of Castle Rock, Wash., and Charles Alcott of Portland; one sister, Mrs. Daisy sites of Portland; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
