1880 CENSUS - James Harple [sic], age 57, farmer, b. Missouri, is enumerated with wife Margaret, age 53, b. Missouri, along with son William, age 18, b. Oregon, and Norman, identified as brother, age 38, occupation farm work, b. Oregon.
DISCREPANCY - marker gives year of death as 1885, but Jan 1889 Necrology listing indicates death was in 1888, also his wife died in 1907, and her obit states that her husband died "about 7 years ago" which is closer to a death date of 1888 than 1885.
