Iowa), maiden name of mother Nancy Van Osdol, interment IOOF 14 Dec, undertaker Clough-Barrick, informant Mrs. Edith M. Banta of Salem.
OBITUARY: 
Abraham Newton Banta at a local hospital Sunday, Dec. 11, at the age of 80 years. Late resident of 1805 south Capitol street. Survived by widow, Edith M. Banta of Salem; two daughters, Mrs. Ednal Olson, Creswell, Oregon, Mrs. Minnie Moore of Salem; brother of Thomas Joseph Banta of Hastings, Neb. Funeral services will be held from the Nazarene church, 13th and Center streets Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fletcher Galloway officiating. 
He will be laid to rest beside his son, Lieut. Banta who died following World war, in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, under direction of Clough-Barrick company.
