OBITUARY: 
At his residence in West Salem, Friday, January 29, 1915, J. W. Hodson. Private funeral services will be held at the chapel of Rigdon & Richardson Sunday, January 31, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery under the auspices of Pacific lodge No. 50 A.F. & A.M.

Funeral services over the late J. W. Hodson will be held from the chapel of Rigdon and Richardson Sunday, today, January 31 at 2 p.m. The services will be private and under the auspices of Pacific lodge No. 50, A.F. & A.M., with interment in the Odd Fellows' cemetery.

Port and Minister Conducts Funeral - Rev. Dr. Cline of Portland was in Salem on Sunday, called here to conduct the funeral of M. J. W. Hodson at Rigdon's undertaking parlors at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, being assisted by the Masonic fraternity of which Mr. Hodson was a member. Dr. Cline married Mr. and Mrs. Hodson many years ago and was therefore called to officiate at the funeral. Being asked if he knew Rev. D. Ostrom, conducting the meetings at present in Salem, he said: "O yes, I heard Dr. Ostrom preach every evening for three weeks in Portland, during the Chapman meetings there some years ago, and regard him as one of the clearest and most effective preachers I have known"
