OSBH DC (Marion County 1916) #50 - Josephine Hollenstein, female, housewife, b. 19 Jan 1861 in Wisconsin, d. 21 Jan 1916 in Salem, Oregon (530 N. 17th) at the age of 54 y's 2 d's, name of father C. H. Howard (b. Germany), maiden name of mother Amelia Shanks (b. Penn.), interment 24 Jan IOOF, undertaker Rigdon-Richardson, informant Emery Hollenstein of Salem.
OBITUARY: 
At the family residence, 530 North Seventeenth street, Friday, January 21, 1916 at 3:15 a.m., Mrs. Josephine Hollensteiner, aged 54 years. Besides her husband, D. Hollensteiner, proprietor of the Sunny Brook dairy, she leaves a grown son, Delbert Hollensteiner. Other relatives survive her in Wisconsin. The family came to Salem about six years ago from California. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the chapel of Rigdon & Richardson. Rev. F.T. Porter will officiate and burial will be in Odd Fellows cemetery.
