Mother, Mary E. "Lizzie" Wyatt, married first Wm H. Lewis (1867), father of Nellie, and second, Joshua Smith (1876).

DEATH CERTIFICATE:

OBITUARY: At 428 Liberty street in Salem, Sunday, Jan. 18, 1891, Nellie May Lewis, aged 16 years, 7 months, and 18 days.
Deceased was a step-daughter of Joshua Smith, and a daughter of Mrs. Lizzie Smith.
She had suffered for several weeks, having taken sick with fever before the new year. She was a child of much promise, just blosoming into womanhood, and her death is dadly mourned by the afflicted household and many sorrowing friends.
Nellie was a member of the Christian Endeavor society of the Christian church, which has taken charge of the funeral arrangements. The funeral will be held at 11 o'clock this (Tuesday) morning at the Christian church, thence to the I. O. O. F. cemetery. The schoolmates of the deceased, in Mis VanWagner's room in the High school building, will be dismissed today to attend the funeral.
