OBITUARY: 

In this city February 9th, at the age of 73 years.  Late resident of 5525 Macleay Rd., Salem. Husband of Clara S. Hoven, Salem; father of Harold Hoven, Virgil Hoven, both of Salem, Glen Hoven, Newport, Lennie Hoven, Eugene, Oliver Hoven, San Jose, Calif.; brother of Victor Hoven, Eugene, Martin Hoven, Los Angeles, Calif., Adolph Hoven, Tillamook, Oscar Hoven, Salem, Mrs Hulda Smith, Dallas.  Three grandchildren also survive.  Services will be held Friday, February 12th at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the W. T. Rigdon Co.  Concluding services at Salem Pioneer Cemetery. Rev. Joe Harding will officiate.

OTTO HOVEN'S RITES FRIDAY
  Funeral services for Otto A. Hoven, 5535 Macleay Rd. SE, who died Tuesday, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in W. T. Rigdon chapel, Rev. Joe Harding officiating.  Burial will be in Salem Pioneer Cemetery.
  Hoven was a farmer for the past 27 years, and a Marion County rock-crusher and paving crew foreman for 20 years before that.  Born July 18, 1886, in Sweden, he came to Oregon 47 years ago from Canby, Minnesota.  He came to the U.S. with his family at the age of 7.
  He and Clara S. Nelson were married Oct. 3, 1912, at Houston, Minn.
  Besides his widow, he leaves five sons, Lennie Hoven, Eugene; Oliver Hoven, San Jose, Calif.; Glen Hoven, Newport; Virgil and Harold Hoven, both of Salem; four brothers, Victor Hoven, Eugene; Martin Hoven, Los Angeles; Adolph Hoven, Tillamook; Oscar Hoven, Salem; one sister, Mrs. Hulda Smith, Dallas; three grandchildren.
