OBITUARY: 
Funeral Is Held for Adin Howland. ROBERTS, Nov. 25 – Funeral services for Adin Howland, 36, resident here the past tow and one-half years, who died Sunday night at the family home, were held Monday afternoon from the home, with Rev. Dean Poindexter officiating, and burial in the I.O.O.F cemetery. Death was due to complications following scarlet fever. Surviving are the widow, Rose, five children, Phyllis, Robert, Opal, Gladys and Rozelle, all of Roberts; his mother in Texas and four sisters and six brothers in the east. Mrs. Jess Strawn of Halls Ferry and Leland Howland of Roberts are cousins. Howland was born in Sheldon, Iowa. Oregon Statesman 26 Nov 1936 7:5-6
