OBITUARY: Burson George Ireland, 58, of 1577 Franklin St. NW, died Saturday at his residence. Born in Salem, he was a lifeling resident except for 12 years in Anchorage, Alaska. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired meatcutter employed by Orcutts IGA and Vista Market. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Hill, and Kristy Boaz, both of Salem; sister, Faye Hilburn, Philomoth; brother, Ron Van Sickle, Corvallis; and four grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Virgil T. Golden Mortuary. Vault interment will be at Pioneer Cemtery. Casket will be open to friends from noon Monday until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
