DEATH CERTIFICATE:

OBITUARY: KENNEN - At the Salem Hospital Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1900, at 3:30 p.m., Homer Robert Kennen, aged 27 years. Mr. Kennen has been in ill health for the past four years, and twenty-five days ago he was taken to the hospital for treatment. He gradually grew worse and death relieved him of his sufferings yesterday.
Homer, as he was familiarly known in Salem, was born in Pike County, Mo., and came to Salem in 1890. For many years he was employed in the woolen mills of this city. Deceased leaves one child, beside his mother Mrs. M. E. Bennett, one brother O. C. Kennen, and one sister Mrs. Freeman Van Patton all of this city, and a host of friends who will mourn his loss.
The funeral was held today at 3 p.m. from the residence of Mr. Van Patton on Twenty-first street. Rev. Henderson officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
