At her home, in North Salem, of consumption, Friday, November 16, 1888, at 3 o’clock p.m., Mrs. Kerns [sic], wife of John Kerns [sic], aged about 40 years. The funeral will take place on Sunday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Oregon Statesman 17 Nov 1888
