DISCREPANCY - Most census records give her place of birth as Oregon, 1880 census record gives her place of birth as Tennessee.

OBITUARY: 
Funeral services for Mrs. Provokluit, who died at Tracy, Cal., February 10, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Terwilliger home. The body is expected to arrive in Salem Tuesday night. Burial in IOOF cemetery.

PROFO-KLUIT--At Tracy, Cal., Feb. 10, Emma Provo-Kluit, age 67 years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Martin, old pioneers of Salem, her first husband was Jim Cross who died many years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joe Byrne, of Tracy, Cal.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sayre of Salem, Mrs. Melissa Presley of Orton, Wash., and Mrs. A. H. Gish of Lost Nation, Iowa. Funeral services will be from the Terwilliger Home, Wednesday at 9 a.m., burial at IOOF cemetery.
