GRAVEMARKERS BEARING STONECUTTER’S IDENTIFICATION
413 Marble stacked shaft gravemarker of Ruhamah (1830-1868), wife of W. K. Leveridge. Epitaph is on plinth and podium superposed upon high base, south face. Stone carver’s mark appears on plinth, east face of the assembly, lower right: “L.R. Myers & Co./ 930 [sic] Market St. S. [Francisco]. Chip from corner of plinth accounts for loss of letter “F.” There is a faint suggestion of a “C” for California at the outermost edge.
