PROBATE - "Intestate. Adm. Seth R. Hammer, 28 Jul 1885. Heirs: Carlisle H. Laughead, a 30, Benton Co., OR; Cora A. Rigga, 26, Salem; William Laughead, 20; Mary Estella Laughead, 19; Jesse Ellen Laughead, drt, 16, Nina/Irma Maud Laughead, dtr, 15; Coke Ashbel Laughead, dtr, 13.".

BIOGRAPHICAL: 
"Wm. M. Laughead had a meat market, in partnership with 'Pap' (Geo. M.) Stroud, afterwards for many years popular railroad conductor, and his son is still a prominent man with the traffic department of the Southern Pacific. The firm name was Stroud & Laughead. There are numerous members of both families in this section."

LAUGHEAD - At a few minutes before 12 o’clock, last night, Wm. Laughead. The deceased was about 55 years of age, and has been afflicted for some time with disease of the kidneys.
