OBITUARY: 

At the residence, 1527 Edgewater street, West Salem, Saturday, March 11, Emma Wilkins Batt, aged 77 years, wife of Charles Batt of West Salem, Mother of Mrs. Clifford Elgin of Portland, Mrs. A. L. Godfrey of Mohler, Ore., and three sons, John, Roger and Percy, all of Wilder, Ida. Two sons, charles and James, precede3d her in death. Also survived by 17 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. from the Salem Mortuary, 545 North Capitol street, Rev. G. H. Swift officiating. Interment I.O.O.F. cemetery.
