Aug 1888 in Kansas, Harry E., age 9, b. Mar 1891 in Kansas, and Edward, age 6, b.Dec 1893 in Nebraska.
1910 CO CENSUS - Ralph Mason, age 12, b. Kansas, is enumerated with T.C., age 49, occupation dray teamster, b. Missouri, and Lilia [Leila], age 40, mother of 5 children 4 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Kansas, along with Edward, age 16, b. Nebraska.
WWI DRAFT REGISTRATION - Alanson R. Mason, of 1321 No. 16th St., Salem, Oregon, b. July 16, 1897 in Morrow, Kansas, employed by Joe Hammon of Stayton, Oregon, nearest relative, Gladys Mason, medium height and weight, blue eyes, brown hair.
1920 OR CENSUS - Alanson Mason, age 22, occupation truck chauffer, b. Kansas, is enumerated with his wife Gladys Z., age 19, b. Wisconsin, along with son Harry T., age 7 months, b. Oregon.  
1930 OR CENSUS shows his name as Alanson Ralph Mason, age 32, age 24 when he first married, and an automobile salesman for an auto agency; wife Gladys and children: Harry, Dorothy and Clinton. The family is living on N. 18th St. 1938/39 City Directory shows the family living on Hunt St. in Salem. 
In 1940/41 Salem City Directory, the widow Gladys Z. and son, Harry T. Mason are living on Maple St. and he is a student and a bookkeeper for McKay Chevrolet Co.

OBITUARY: 
Alanson Ralph Mason, 41, at a local hospital January 14. Late resident of 506 South 19th street. Survived by widow, Mrs. Gladys Mason; sons, Clinton and Harry Mason; daughter, Miss Dorothy Mason, all of Salem; father T. C. Mason of Corvallis; brothers, Herbert Mason of Cottage Grove and Ed Mason of Long Beach, Wash. 
Services will be held from the Clough-Barrick chapel Tuesday, January 17, at 1:30 p. m., with Rev. P. W. Eriksen officiating. Interment at IOOF cemetery. The deceased was a member of the old Legion drum corps and former members will march with muffled drums.
