OBITUARY:
Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mason, at their home at Church and Union streets, Monday, August 19, 1895, aged 3 years last April.
The little fellow was taken with diphtheria several weeks ago and battled through the various stages of that dread malady until the hope came that he was about cured a few days ago; then, however, it was discovered that it had left a stomach trouble which prevented the child from taking or retaining any nourishment, and after untold suffering the little fellow died last evening. His little sister was also taken with diphtheria, but she seems to be getting along nicely. The disease is confined to that family and the hope is it will not spread.

The funeral of Howard Mason will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mason, on Church and Union streets, at 10 a.m. today. Burial will be in Rural cemetery.
