OBITUARY: At Seattle, Sunday, Sept. 2, 1888, at 3 p.m., of typhoid fever, Jennie, daughter of T. JH. and E. McClanahan, aged about 15 years. Mr. and Mrs. McClanahan formerly resided in Salem, removing to Seattle last March. They have recently been sadly afflicted with typhoid fever, two other members of the family being now down with it. Just before their removal from Salem, they lost their boy Alfred. The remains were brought to Salem on last night’s train and buried in the family lot at the IOOF cemetery.
