OBITUARY:
Mass will be said for Alice R. McDonald, a Southeast Portland homemaker, at 10 a.m. Friday in Mount Joseph Chapel with interment following in Salem Pioneer Cemetery. Recitation of the rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday in Mount St. Joseph Chapel.
Mrs. McDonald died Tuesday in a Portland care center. She was 94.
She was born in Mahama (Mehama]. Her great-great-grandfather settled in Silverton, and his log cabin still stands on Victor Point.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Mount St. Joseph nursing residence.
