OBITUARY:
Mrs. Margaret McIntyre died at her home on the corner of Miller and Commercial streets, in South Salem, at 2 o'clock p.m. yesterday at the ripe old age of 73 years, 5 months and 6 days.
She was born in Kingston, Canada, on July 14, 1828 and was married to Thos. H. McIntyre in Niagara county, New York, on May 29, 1846. They migrated to Nebraska and in 1862 came to Oregon, locating in Salem, where they have resided continuously since. Mr. McIntyre died in this city in 1892.
Two sons, Charles T. and Wallace M. McIntyre, survive her, both of whom reside in this city. Mrs. McIntyre has been a lifelong member at the M.E. church and it is quite probable that the services will be held in that church, but as one of the sons, Charles, is at Detroit, no definite arrangements will be made until his return.
