OBITUARY: 

Mrs Alma McWhorter, 96, of 1625 Center St NE, died at the home Sunday. She had been in poor health about two years. Born in Missouri, she came to Salem in 1907 from Idaho. She was the widow of Harrison McWhorter, who died in 1940. Survivors include daughters, Mrs Lois Boyd, Salem, and Mrs Nellie Gustad, Portland; son Harry McWhorter, Salem; brother Maurice Wilkensen, Cambridge, Idaho. Services are pending at W.T. Rigdon mortuary.
