OBITUARY: 

Mrs. Chittick Succumbs at Salem Home

Mrs. Sophia C. Chittick, a Salem resident more than 30 years, died Monday at her home at 2234 Lee st. She was 79.

A native of Canada, Mrs.Chittick was born Nov. 18, 1870, at Dorchester, Ontario. She came to Salem in 1918 with her husband Alfred Chittick, who died 12 years ago.

Mrs. Chittick was a member of the First Presbyterian church.

Surviving ar two daughters, Mrs. Fred Jorgensen Jefferson, and Mrs. Margaret Rush, Gates; three sons, William A. Chittick, Manila, P. I., and Ernest and Charles Chittick, both of Salem; two sisters, a brother and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be arranged later by the Virgil T. Golden chapel.
