OBITUARY: 
William F. Michaelis, at his residence, 1603 N. Commercial street, Tuesday, December 24, at the age of 87 years. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. L. C. Hockett of Salem and Mrs. H. D. Watson of Portland; brother, Herman Michaelis of Cascade, Mont.; also five grandchildren, Lloyd L. Hockett, Verden E. Hockett, Mrs. Henry Ross, Mrs. Henry A Girod and Donald William Watson. Services will be held Thursday, December 26, at 1:30 p.m., at the Clough-Barrick chapel, Rev. Fred Theuer officiating.
