OBITUARY:
DIED--At his residence in South Salem, on the evening of Friday, February 14, 1874, David A. Miller, aged 57 years. The funeral will take place from the residence tomorrow (Sunday) at 1 o'clock p.m. Friends of the deceased and family invited. We announce the death of Mr. Miller with all the regret that can attend the loss of a good man and estimable citizen. Knowing him for many years we respected him, as did all who know him, and feel that a friend is gone whose pleasant face and good example will be a loss time cannot replace. We do not disparage the living when we assert that D. A. Miller was more than an ordinarily good man, neighbor and citizen, for it is given to but few to possess the unselfish traits, the kindness of heart and truthfulness of character we all recognized in him.

Mr. MILLER'S FUNERAL -- The funeral of D. A. Miller took place yesterday at one o'clock from the residence in South Salem, the services being conducted by Rev. Mr. McPheters. The day was an unusually pleasant one for this time of the year, and a large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last resting place.
