OBITUARY: 
At the old family home on South Commercial street in this city, Wednesday, September 19, 1894. Martha J. Miller aged 69 years. Mrs. Miller was a native of New York state and has lived in Oregon for the past 34 years. She was an excellent neighbor and friend and a devoted Christian, affiliating always with the Methodist church. Mrs. E.K. Miller, of Salem has a daughter and one son, Miles M., resides in Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held by Rev. G.W. Grannis on Friday at the house at 2 p.m., and the remains will be laid to rest in the Rural cemetery.
