OBITUARY: 
At the family home, No. 424 Winter street, Salem, at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 1898, of consumption, S. L. Miller, aged 81 years, 10 months and 2 days. The funeral will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. Ketchum will officiate, Interment will be had in Rural cemetery. Deceased resided in Salem nine years, coming from Wisconsin. He leaves a wife and a child in this city and several children in the East to mourn his demise.
