OBITUARY: 
In Portland, Oregon, March 1, 1909, Samuel R. Miller, aged 53 years, of heart failure. Deceased spent many years of his life in Salem, coming here with his parents when but a child. He is survived by one brother, John H. Miller, of Logansport, Ind., and two sisters residing in this city, Mrs. Maria Polley, and Mrs. Mary E. Cox, wife of J. W. Cox. The remains arrived from Portland last evening and the funeral will be held from the home of Mrs. Cox, 312 Winter street tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2:30 p. m., and interment will be made in the family lot at Rural cemetery. Daily Oregon Statesman 2 Mar 1909 4:5.
