OBITUARY:
At the Chemekete hotel, Sunday, March 16, 1890 of paralysis, Hezekiah Monroe, aged 66 years. The deceased was the father of C. H. Monroe, landlord of the Chemekete hotel and came to Oregon nearly seven years ago. For several years he has been an invalid from the effects of paralyses, during which time he made his home with his son.
The funeral was conducted yesterday afternoon by Rev. Corwin, of the Congregational church of which church the deceased was for many years an attendant. The remains were interred at 2:30 p.m. in the IOOF cemetery.
