Sep 1869 in Pennsylvania, and his wife Mary, age 26, (both 2nd marriages), b. Nov 1874 in California.  Also enumerated with the family are Sadie Battersby, identified as sister (of Jared), age 26, widowed, b. Jan 1874 in Pennsylvania, and Lloyd Battersby, identified as nephew [of Jared], age 2, b. Sep 1897 in Oregon.

OBITUARY: 
At the Willamette Sanitarium, Monday, February 10, 1913, at 4:30 p.m., Charles Musser, age 25 years 11 months and 21 days. The deceased has been a resident of this city for many years and has been employed by the Spaulding Logging company for the past ten years. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. M. Goudy of this city and Mrs. Wm. Batterspy of Alameda. Funeral services will be held at the Moose hall Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
