OBITUARY: 

PAINTER -- Clema Jane Painter, 91, 695 Court St. NE, died Wednesday in a local hospital. The daughter if a pioneer Oregon family, she was born in Waldo Hills and lived in the Salem area all her life. Survivors include sons Joe, Castle Rock, Wash., John R., and William H., both Salem, Louie E., Wolfcreek, Charles E., San Bernardino, Calif.; daughters Mrs. Phyllis P. Wood, Portland, Mrs. Mildred Wessela, Scottsburg, Mrs. Prudence P. Johnson, Salem; 10 grandchildren; 10 great - grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Howell - Edwards mortuary, Rev. John S. Power officiating. Interment will be in Salem Pioneer Cemetery.
