E. G. PATTERSON CALLED BY DEATH.
Manager of Automobile Registration at State House Passes Away Edward Gray Patterson, until he became ill, manager of the Automobile registration department of the secretary of state’s office, died at 11:15 o’clock last night at his home 1253 Chemeketa street. 
Mr. Patterson was admitted to the bar some years ago. For the past two years he has been employed at the state house. He was the son of Jerry Patterson, a former prominent resident of The Dalles. Mrs. Charles Gray, who acted as a hostess at the Oregon building at the San Francisco exposition, was an aunt of Mr. Patterson. Besides his wife, Mrs. Clara Churchill Patterson, he leaves two daughters, who are 12 and 14 years old.

Body will Lie in State --
The body of the late Edward Gray Patterson, who died Tuesday Night will lie in state today until 1 o'clock at the chapel of Webb & Clough.  Rev. D. V. Poling of Dalles will conduct the services which will be held at the chapel at 2 o'clock.  Burial will be in the J. M. Paterson family lot in Odd Fellows cemetery.
