OBITUARY:
FRANCIS FLAVIE PLAMONDON, was born of pious parents in St. Hyacinth, Canada East, June 20th 1820. He came to Oregon with his aged mother in 1852, and was married to Miss Matilda DuBois of Chembly, Canada, in June 1860. He had been a consumptive for about a year. His death occurred at Butteville, Marion County, on Saturday morning last, in the 41st, year of his age. A sorrow stricken wife and six little children are left to mourn his early death. He was a kind husband, an affectionate father, a dutiful son, a generous brother, and a liberal hearted and obliging neighbor. While those who love him will bury his faults with him in the grave, let them cherish the remembrance of his good qualities and try to imitate the same. Impressive funeral services, conducted by Rev. C. C. Stratton, took place at the residence of Mr. E. M. Plamondon in Salem on Tuesday afternoon last, after which the remains were conveyed to their final resting place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Isaac Dillon.
